Manuscript Templates

AUTHOR RESOURCES

Manuscript Templates

The official JDHAB manuscript templates provide the required scientific structure for preparing submissions according to the journal’s editorial, technical, ethical, and production standards.

Authors must prepare submissions using the official Journal of Digital Health and Advanced Biomaterials — JDHAB template corresponding to the selected article type.

The templates support technical screening, editorial evaluation, peer review, metadata consistency, reporting completeness, and production standardization.

All templates are publicly available and may be downloaded without registration or login.

Official Manuscript Templates

Select the template corresponding to the intended manuscript category. Authors should not rebuild the manuscript in a generic layout or use a template intended for another article type.

Template Use

Select the Correct Article Type

Use the template corresponding exactly to the manuscript category selected during submission. The scientific structure, abstract format, headings, reporting requirements, and internal guidance differ among article types.

Use from the Beginning

The selected template should be used from the beginning of manuscript preparation. Retrofitting a completed manuscript may introduce formatting inconsistencies, missing declarations, or incomplete metadata.

Preserve the Required Structure

Authors should retain all required sections and scientific headings. Sections identified as optional may be removed only when they are not applicable to the study design.

Remove Instructional Text

Before submission, remove all embedded instructions, explanatory notes, example text, unused placeholders, and template fields that do not form part of the final manuscript.

Blinded Review File

When double-anonymized review is required, authors should derive the blinded file from the same official template, removing identifying information while preserving headings, tables, figures, references, and applicable declarations.

Production Consistency

Using the official templates helps preserve consistency across editorial review, PDF and HTML production, metadata, indexing records, reference formatting, and long-term journal archiving.

Before Using a Template

01

Confirm Scope

Verify that the manuscript fits JDHAB’s scope in digital health, advanced biomaterials, biomedical technologies, clinical measurement, validation, or translational scientific workflows.

02

Select Article Type

Choose the correct manuscript category and confirm the applicable limits for word count, abstract, figures, tables, and references.

03

Prepare Declarations

Include ethics approval, informed consent, consent for publication, competing interests, funding, data availability, code availability, and artificial intelligence disclosure when applicable.

04

Review References

Ensure that citations and references follow Vancouver style, NLM journal abbreviations, sentence-case article titles, and DOI inclusion whenever available.

Submission Requirements

Technical Screening

Submissions that do not use the correct official template, follow the required manuscript structure, or include the applicable reporting and ethical information may be returned for technical correction before editorial assessment or peer review.

Editable Content

Submit the main manuscript as an editable Microsoft Word file. Tables must remain editable, and figures should also be supplied as separate publication-quality files when requested.
